LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The place that many Aggie faithful have come to know as their go-to spot for NM State gear is officially joining forces with NM State Athletics. Today, NM State Director of Athletics Mario Moccia announced that Sports Accessories Inc. is now the official game day sales partner of the Aggies. Sports Accessories will also become the primary online sales partner of NM State Athletics on behalf of Learfield.
“I am very excited that Sports Accessories will be the game day merchandiser for the 2022-23 athletic season,” Moccia expressed. “Brian and his team consistently have the largest variety of Aggie gear at all price points as well as unique items which will be on-site at all football, volleyball, soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, softball and baseball including special events as well.
“In addition, the partnership between Sports Accessories and New Mexico State Sports Properties (Learfield) will allow Aggie fans across the nation will now have access to his entire store online so they can buy the latest Aggie gear as well as purchase gifts for friends and family for birthdays, Christmas and many other holidays.”
Sports Accessories owner Brian Cox and his mother Alice opened their doors to the Las Cruces community in March of 1993 as a way to make it easier for high school athletes to get their gear and has since grown his business into a household name for Aggie fans.
Cox, a member of the Aggie football team from 1990-92, and his team have now been in business for nearly 30 years, and they continue to produce quality merchandise in-house to provide unprecedented service to Aggie Nation.
“The whole crew and I at Sports Accessories are delighted to be part of the New Mexico State family – especially during these exciting times with Aggie athletics,” said Cox. “We continue to look forward to bringing Aggie Nation amazing merchandise locally and nationally, but now on a larger scale. We are especially proud since the majority of our products are produced right here in Las Cruces, by some of the loyalists of Aggie fans. So, all I have to say is ‘it is time to Aggie Up!'”
Fans can visit Sports Accessories Inc. in person at 250 N. Solano Dr. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Fans can also shop all Aggie gear online at The Aggie Shop via the Sports Accessories website.
