Southgate Anderson recently recognized its athletes who earned the Downriver League Three Sport Varsity Athlete patch for the 2021-22 season.
The DRL gives out the patch every spring to those student-athletes who participate in three or more varsity sports during one school year for the first time in their athletic career.
Seniors honored from Anderson were Alivia Ensign (sideline cheer, competitive cheer, track); Brody Grafton (football, rowing/crew, track); and Andrew Parkham (tennis, basketball, golf).

Juniors who earned the three-sport patch were Brianna Hales (cross country, figure skating, track); Shelby Plummer (golf, basketball, tennis); Anysia Correa (cross country, wrestling, track); A’mari Johnson-Wheeler (soccer, bowling, track); Andrew Gates (football, basketball, track); Christopher Wrona (soccer, bowling, track); and Ella Petrarca (golf, basketball, softball).

Two sophomores picked up the three-sport athlete patch with Sparrow Centeno (cross country, track, soccer) and Alexis Hall (sideline cheer, competitive cheer, tennis).
Also recognized were freshmen Marina Borg (cross country, track, soccer); Hunter Druchniak (football, soccer, track); Jackson Sage (football, wrestling, track); and Gabby Jones (swimming, sideline cheer, competitive cheer).
