MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Athletics announced the 2022 Marcy Weston CMU Athletics Hall of Fame Class today.
 
Joining the exclusive group of Chippewa greats are gymnast Kristin Teubner; football player Bryan Anderson; track & field/cross country athlete Jeff Powers; field hockey player Samantha Sandham; and wrestling brothers Brandon Sinnott and Christian Sinnott.

The 2022 class will be inducted into the hall of fame on Friday, Oct. 21. The induction ceremony will take place at McGuirk Arena and is free to attend. The class will be recognized during CMU’s football game with Bowling Green on Saturday, Oct. 22.
 
Bryan Anderson, Football, 2006-09
Anderson played in 54 games as a Chippewa, catching a pass in each one to set an NCAA record for consecutive games with at least one reception … one of two players in program history to have earned All-MAC honors in four consecutive seasons … was a first team all-conference pick in 2006 and in 2008, and earned a second-team nod in both 2007 and 2009 … ranks seventh in MAC history with 290 career receptions and 3,648 career receiving yards … his 28 career touchdown catches rank 13th in MAC history … helped lead CMU to three MAC championships, four bowl berths, and two bowl victories … his Chippewa teams went a perfect 4-0 vs. Western Michigan … three-time Academic All-MAC honoree … ranks second in program history in career pass receptions, career receiving yardage, career touchdown receptions, season TD receptions and TD catches in a game. Also ranks in the top 10 in program history in season receptions, yards receiving in a season, and passes caught in a season. 
 
Jeff Powers, Track & Field/Cross Country, 2003-07
All-American in 2007 in the 10,000 meters … Earned the Outstanding Performer Award in 2007 at both the MAC Indoor Championships and the MAC Outdoor Championships … earned the Most Valuable Performer Award at the 2006 MAC Indoor Championships … won seven MAC titles during his career, four indoors and three outdoors … won MAC 5,000- and 10,000-meter crowns outdoors in 2007; won outdoors MAC 10,000 meters in 2005 … captured 2006 MAC indoor crowns in the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters … won MAC indoor titles in the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters in 2007 … tallied a combined total of 10 top-three finishes at the MAC indoor and outdoor track & field championships … earned All-MAC cross country honors in both 2005 and in 2006 … helped CMU to four MAC team championships, two in outdoor track & field (2005-06), one in indoor track & field (2005), and one in cross country (2003).
 
Samantha Sandham, Field Hockey, 2005-08
Named the MAC Player of the Year in 2008 … one of two Chippewas to accomplish that feat in program history … earned first team all-region honors in 2008 and second team accolades in 2006 … named All-MAC first team in 2006 and 2008; earned All-MAC second team honors in 2005 and 2007 … helped lead CMU to MAC Tournament championship in 2005 … remains CMU’s all-team leader in career assists with 34, is second with 110 points, and fifth with 38 goals … remains in the top 10 in program history in goals in a season, assists in a season, and points in a season.

Brandon Sinnott, Wrestling, 2004-08
Two-time All-American … placed fifth at 174 pounds at the 2008 NCAA Championships … three-time MAC champion … three-time NCAA Championships qualifier … helped CMU to four consecutive MAC regular season and tournament titles … helped Chippewas to seventh-place finish in 2008 and a 15th-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships … ranks eighth in program history with 113 career victories and 10th with an .842 win percentage.
 
Christian Sinnott, Wrestling, 2004-08
Placed fourth at 184 pounds to earn All-America honors at the 2008 NCAA Championships … two-time MAC champion … three-time NCAA Championships qualifier … helped CMU to four consecutive MAC regular season and tournament titles … helped Chippewas to seventh-place finish in 2008 and a 15th-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships … posted 101 career victories.
 
Kristin Teubner, Gymnastics, 2009-12
Named the MAC Gymnast of the Year in 2011, the MAC Senior Gymnast of the Year in 2012, and the MAC Freshman of the Year in 2009 … won six individual MAC titles: floor exercise in 2009; all around, balance beam and floor exercise in 2011; and balance beam and floor exercise in 2012 … three-time All-MAC honoree … led CMU to MAC Championships titles in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and MAC regular season crowns in 2011 and 2012 … led CMU to four consecutive NCAA Regional Championships berths … Awarded the Dick Enberg Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award in 2011 … three-time Academic All-MAC honoree … four-time Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-America Team honoree.
